Connecting to people and animals and capturing the real spirit and personality of those I photograph is the secret to a great shoot. I’ve always been able to quickly build relationships with those that I photograph. Maybe it’s because I’m a real people person, maybe it’s because I’m a bit of a big kid at heart or maybe it’s because I have a good understanding of animals.
T he good news is that everyone from a camera shy mum to a timid toddler and their first pony trust me to take their picture. They smile and let me share their family space. It means magical moments can be caught on camera. I love to shoot on location, whether that’s in a muddy field, colourful meadow, buzzing racing yard or on the wild windswept moor. We can work together to choose the right location and I’m always happy to jump in the car and travel if we need to.
Fun, relaxed and natural Lifestyle, Dogs and Equine Portraits at home or at a favourite location, the beach or somewhere special. Each session is tailored to your individual requirements, meaning we can design the experience around you. All you need to decide is where you want the shoot to take place and what to wear! Gorgeous midweek shoots on location are available at £150.00 and weekends and Bank Holidays at £200.00. These shoots typically last between one and two hours – or until I’m happy with what I have in camera. Soon after the shoot you can choose from my beautiful range of products (see below).

FRAMES & ALBUMS
Once you have had your shoot I will forward you a link to your private online gallery with your carefully selected and individually hand-edited digital images. Here you can choose how you want me to present the pictures as a lasting memory. Canvases and acrylic frames work well in contemporary spaces, as do three and four way frames. These are always a favourite as they give you even more opportunity to show more shots from the shoot. Albums are also available as well as personalised presents for family members.
Frequently asked questions
Where will the shoot take place?
In a nutshell, it can take place anywhere you want! In any part of the country – the beach, moor, stables, an event or show.
What if it's raining?
If you choose to go outside for the shoot then of course if its raining too much then we may have to reschedule the shoot – otherwise we say bring some wellies and a raincoat and we’ll have some great fun!
We don't really like having our picture taken ...
Don’t worry, who does! The way I work will put the whole family and beasties at ease. There is no time limit to the shoot and I will not leave until I have captured some beautiful moments. Children and nervous animals can take time to warm to the camera, I don’t rush my shoots and am always happy to wait for the everyone to become relaxed.
How do I see my images?
Images can be viewed from your private gallery where they are displayed online indefinitely. You can chose from a wide variety of beautiful framing options & albums. If you have decided on the High Res File Collection this will be ready to download 3 weeks after your shoot.

How to prepare
The amount of preparation is completely up to you but the cleaner the horse the better the images! A lot of editing goes into making these images so most cuts and blemishes can be taken out, but even I cannot make a dirty horse look clean. I advise doing some “show preparation” in which you might normally do such as clipped ears, muzzles, and hoof oil can really make all the difference!
Just as all equine sessions with me, I require a £100 deposit to solidify your date! The remaining balance is due at time of session. I prefer payment by BACS but please feel free to use what is most convenient for you!
How far do you travel?
I am more than happy to travel countrywide but mileage will be payable outside Devon & Cornwall – however, I’m sure we can come to a good arrangement!
How long will it take to receive my images?
This all has to do with the nature of the shoot and the time of year. Some months are busier then others, but standard turn around time is 1-2 weeks and AT THE MOST 4 weeks to receive the digital download link to your images.
